Hi,
I have a C300 LATHE, that is now not starting correctly. When the speed control is switched on and rotated the lathe only runs very slowly and jerkily without any power.
I need advice regarding this and a wiring diagram that includes the board.
Also are individual components available, or must the whole board be relaced
Dear Keith,
Please have a check first.
1. wether the wire on the circircuit loose or not, if loosen, just tighten it.
2. wether the speed have some changes when you turn the speed on , if the wire doesn't loose and the speed have no change , you must have change the pc board (circuit).
Please check that ,thank you.if the machine still can not working well , please contact with me ,thank you.
Best regards,
Nancy

Hi,
Further to my previous email re the XMT2335, I checked the connections to the main board and replaced the pot, but this has made no difference.
I have tested the motor/brushes with a different controller and it runs properly.
Are there any other test I can do?
Regards
Wayne H.
Dear Wayne,
I will ask our engineer for the problem and send you an email back later, thank you for waiting.
Best regards,
Nancy

Hi,
I have a problem with the XMT2335 controller on my X2 mill.
The motor does not start every time. I have checked all connections, motor brushes and controller pot.
I can switch it on, then force it to start, by switching on a 12v halogen transformer on the same power circuit.
Do you have any solution for this?
Regards
Wayne H.
Dear Wayne,
I am very sorry for the problem.
Please check the wire for P1,P2,P3 on the PCB board loosed or not, if not, there must be some problems in the potentiometer.if that , you have to change the potentiometer.
Best regards,
Nancy

Diear Sirs,
I am an happy owner of SIEG-C2 Model 300. I have a problems with speed controller for motor. When I switch it ON and than turn potentiometer to minimum RPM, he run on maximum RPM. (I think the problem is in voltage regulator)
Can you give me a PCB (wiring) drawings of this speed controller, please?
The controller board is "SIEG XMT-2325"
Thank you and best regards.
Martin Ziller
Dear Martin,
Thank you for using SIEG machine.

I have an Axminster Seig C6B Variable speed Lathe that appears to be running over speed and also faulting very easily - am trying to narrow down the fault to either the motor or the controller – both are pricey so I want the right part!
The symptoms are that it runs fast – e.g. at about 1200 on the dial it is actually running at about 2000rpm and is reaching a maximum speed of about 3000 rpm which is far above the maximum expected. This occurred after some thread cutting that caused the fuse to blow. On replacement of the fuse all seemed well if a little noisier than before except I have now realised the speed is too high. Also on a number of occasions when starting it begins to spin up the motor then simply indicates fault and stops. This leads me to think that there is a fault in the controller board but it could also be an indication of insulation breakdown in the motor causing the current to be too high and the back EMF to be too low.
Firstly are there any schematic etc that could help me and if not, do you have the specs for the motor and the voltage it is supposed to run at full speed?
Dear Peter,
Thank you for using SIEG machine.
I will disscuss with our engineer and then reply you as soon as possible, thank you.
Best regards,
Nancy

Dear Nancy,
Would it not be a good idea, if not possible for all machines then for those made for the hobby market (C1-C3, X1-X3) to publish all the circuit diagrammes of the electrical circuits? There is a lot of information on the net, but I for one cannot find the one applicable to the card in my X2 - the XMT2335.
Would be great to have it.
Tom
Dear Tom,
Thank you for your advice.
I will contact with you by email and send you the wiring diagrammes which also released in our instruction manual.
Best regards,
Nancy
